Do you have courses for Beginners?

Yes we do have beginner content here. We have a good number of beginners who have worked through the beginner and fundamentals content and come out the other side as well-rounded bassists well on their way on their bass journey.

Our courses for Beginners are 

• Bass 101
• Functional Theory for Bass vol 1
• Bass Foundations
• Essential Sight Reading series if you're interesting in reading. 

These courses tell you the anatomy of the bass guitar, teach you how to hold it and position yourself, teach you your first scale and arpeggios and a couple of cool riffs to get started on as well as the theory behind what you're learning and a general introduction to all the key topics a bass player needs to learn and practice.

Also included in the Academy

We've introduced the Players Path, a series of 9 ability levels with 9 songs per level in varying styles, written for SBL, which is a great way to structure your journey. You can use these songs as the musical side of you practice, so you might like to do level 1 whilst learning the content in Bass 101 and level 2 when studying Bass Foundations, for example. Each song has recommended courses to study with it. Playing music helps keep things fun, relevant and will help your bass playing in its own way.
